Art E Q is the website for the personal and original art of Quentin Hutchinson, ex professional Field Archaeologist, and long term full time carer for his elderly parents (dad aged 101 in 2023).
He was motivated to take up painting when gifted a set of paints by his team mates when leaving Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit in 1991 and is self taught.    He studied art A level at Peter Symmonds College Winchester 1980-81, though not doing any painting and took his exam on the strength of his figure drawing instead.
Currently he prefers working in acrylics, but has created artworks in most other mediums.
He currently lives in Seahouses, Northumberland.
He has some experience of archaeological illustration with a BTEC HND in that subject.
He is dyslexic but  that's another story!  Thanks to Mrs Joan Abdallah at the Hong Kong International School (American) in 1968 for recognising and treating the dyslexia when the British at that time did not!
